RDG has published details of the current commission arrangements for Travel Agents and Travel Management Companies (TA/TMCs), Third Party Retailers and Train Operating Companies (TOCs).

These arrangements have been implemented following extensive consultation between RDG, the TOCs and other stakeholders, including individual third party retailers and representatives of relevant trade bodies such as the BTA (formerly GTMC), ABTA and SPAA.

The review of agent remuneration covered public retailing (via internet and telephone sales), sales to corporate customers, whether direct or through TA/TMCs, and arrangements for inter-TOC sales through Business Travel Service units.

One of the key objectives of the review was to deliver a remuneration structure which is both transparent and consistent across all retailers within each market sector.
